Tank Girl and Jet Girl XOXO

So I have had some hand sewing projects that have given me the time to watch a little Netflix while I sew! I have recently just watched Tank Girl for the first time ever! I know why has it taken me so long! Well Im not really sure but I will say that I am so glad that I watched it! It is truly a great source of inspiration... the edgy fem futuristic ass kicking styles of tank girl reminds me that to be a lady is yes to be a sweet and sensual being never forgetting her manors but also being a lady is giving someone the ass kicking they deserve and never forgetting to wear eyeliner and  a little bow in your hair, even if the only hair you have is a few scraggles poking out here and there on your head! hehe

Retro Futuristic!

I have begun watching Blade Runner... I am only half way thru the movie but I am already inspired! I tried to find some stills of the bar scene where all the women are wearing amazing hats but there isnt any! I will have to work on that, but for now I have found some pics that still capture the essence of the movie! I love the way that they take old Hollywood glamor and apply it to the futuristic year 2019! They are going to have to start building those buildings in L.A. now if they ever want to have them finished in time for 2019.... I Think its great how movies like Back to the Future and Soylent Green are all set to times that are upon us. I guess we have a few more years then we used to think in the 70's and 80's! But I would like to capture the idealistic views of the creators of these movies and apply them to Now :)

Inspiration In Action!

Referencing back to the post I made on the 24th of this month about Vintage Headpieces that Inspired me, I have made my first Headpiece! I made this one using a shoulder pad for the base so that it had shape and felt nice against your head... I also used Vintage beads, applique, and a vintage earring! It was very fun to make, a little tedious on the beading and sequins sewing but well worth it <3

A little Betty...
I am sure I will be sharing and talking more about this famed beauty, but I thought I'd share my latest project! I hand paint the bottoms of high heels, making each one into a piece of wearable art, and was so excited by the idea of adding some pinup style to my shoes. So I can look a little risqué and sexy even if I've paired the shoes with a comfy sweater :)

Being more spontaneous!

I love the ideology of seize the day, and try to be more spontaneous in all areas of life- I signed up for mobile blogging in hopes of transforming some of my posts to be that way too! If it works, I will try to give better glimpses into the ins and outs of my life, and show better what inspires me. While some posts that I will write are (or will be) very specific or clearly plannned, I also want to include some that lets you get to know me more. Because what a person creates depends on the type of person they are!

Ethel my new Favorite Model!

I took a simple foam head form and decoupaged it with an old pattern, newspaper seemed to thick. Then a coat of white acrylic paint, 2 coats of peach, then the hair, the eyes, the lips and a dash of blush (i used real blush to make it look more realistic), coat the whole thing with modge-podge matte to protect it!
